Meet Your Owner: Bree’s Story & the Birth of Rebel Wax Studio

When you walk into a wax studio, you’re not just trusting someone with your skin—you’re trusting them with your confidence. So today, I wanted to share a little about who I am, why I started Rebel Wax Studio, and what makes this space different from your average waxing experience.

Because yes, I’m a waxer.

But I’m also a mom, a business owner, a mentor to thousands of estheticians, and someone who’s built a life—and a brand—through a whole lot of grit, purpose, and passion.

From Teen Mom to Esthetician

I entered this industry at 19 years old with a 9-month-old daughter on my hip and a burning desire to create a better life. I enrolled in esthetics school not knowing exactly where it would lead—but I knew I had to make it work. With daycare costs higher than tuition and limited support, I fought hard to finish school and build a career I could be proud of.

And it didn’t take long to find my niche.

Why Waxing?

After graduating, I began working in skincare at a day spa in Corona Del Mar, CA, but something about waxing just clicked. The fast results, the confidence boost, the trust clients placed in me—it became my passion. I quickly became the first red-level waxer and then a trainer at European Wax Center in Newport Beach, CA before deciding it was time to build something of my own.

The Birth of Rebel Wax Studio

I didn’t want to just open a wax studio. I wanted to create a brand. A space where:

    •    Confidence is built through experience

    •    Cleanliness and comfort are non-negotiables

    •    Every client, no matter their body type or hair type, feels welcome, seen, and valued. Because you are!

And that’s exactly what Rebel Wax Studio is today.

We specialize in hard wax services for sensitive skin and coarse hair, and every appointment is rooted in education, empowerment, and results.

Beyond the Treatment Room

Over the years, I’ve trained over 18,000 estheticians through my in-person classes and free online course. What started as a small solo practice grew into a nationwide brand that includes products, education, and mentorship.

In 2025, I was deeply honored to be named ASCP’s Esthetician of the Year—the first-ever waxer to receive this award.

I was featured on the cover of Skin Deep Magazine alongside a 9-page article highlighting my journey and mission to elevate the waxing industry.

But more than anything, I’m proud to now be in a position where I can pass on the skills I’ve mastered to the next generation of waxers. While I’m not currently in the treatment room myself, I’ve built Rebel Wax Studio to be a place where licensed estheticians in Bend can thrive—offering top-tier services while earning a truly sustainable, thriving wage. Creating this kind of space has always been part of the bigger vision: to raise the standard in our industry for BOTH clients and professionals.
