The Best Time to Book Your Wax Before a Vacation or Event

Got a big trip, wedding, or event coming up? Whether it’s your honeymoon, family vacation, or a day you’ll be photographed a thousand times, timing your wax appointment correctly makes a big difference.

Book too early, and regrowth might show up. Book too late, and your skin might be too sensitive. And if it’s your first-ever wax, there’s even more to consider.

This guide breaks down exactly when to wax before a vacation or event, so your skin looks and feels smooth, calm, and confident—when it matters most.

If You’re a First-Time Waxer, Read This First

Please don’t schedule your very first wax 2–3 days before your big day.

Everyone’s skin reacts differently to waxing, and it’s important to know how yours will respond.

For first-timers, we recommend:

• Booking your first wax 8-12 weeks before the event

• Following up with a second & third wax 4 weeks after that

• Then (if all goes well), booking your final pre-event wax 2–3 days before the big day

This gives you time to learn how your skin reacts, ask questions, get on a good aftercare routine, and fine-tune timing to sync up hair growth cycles.

For Returning Clients: The 2–3 Day Rule

If you’re a regular waxer or have had no sensitivity in past visits, we recommend scheduling 2–3 days before your event or travel date.

This timing works great for:

• Bikini/Brazilian wax

• Leg wax

• Underarms

• Brows and facial waxing etc

It gives your skin time to settle, while still leaving you freshly smooth for your big moment.

Why Timing Matters

• Too soon = Regrowth may appear before your event

• Too late = Skin could be red, sensitive, or irritated

• Just right = Skin is calm, smooth, and photo-ready

We also advise against heavy workouts, saunas, or pool/hot tub time immediately post-wax—another reason why 48 hours of buffer time is key.

Don’t Wait—Book Early!

If your trip, wedding, or special event falls during a busy season (think spring break, summer, or holidays), our schedule fills fast.

Booking early ensures:

• Your preferred date and time

• Proper skin prep

• Smooth, stress-free results
